The AUDI A4 (2001-05) 4DR SALOON 1.6 SE is a four-door compact executive saloon, offering a smart, understated alternative to family hatchbacks. In the UK used market, it competes with the BMW 3 Series and Mercedes-Benz C-Class, bringing Audi’s premium image to a practical size suited to everyday driving. The 1.6-litre petrol engine makes this A4 a sensible choice for commuting and steady trips rather than brisk performance. Four doors, a useful boot and comfortable cabin suit couples, small families and professionals wanting a composed, more substantial-feeling car. Compared with mainstream rivals, its appeal is the restrained styling and reassuringly upmarket atmosphere. mycarcheck.com records 15 checks across 11 VINs. Average mileage is 149,000 miles, annual use 6,000 miles, and previous keepers 4.3. The recorded average private-sale valuation is £300, making condition and history especially important. Treat this as check data, not a guaranteed current price when considering an individual AUDI A4.
