The RENAULT MEGANE (2002-09) 5DR HATCHBACK 1.4 16V 100 EXPRESSION is a five-door family hatchback from Renault’s second-generation Mégane range. It sits in the mainstream small-car class, alongside cars such as the Ford Focus and Vauxhall Astra, offering everyday space without the size or running-cost ambitions of a larger family car. With five doors and a straightforward 1.4-litre petrol engine, this Mégane suits commuting, errands and modest family duties, especially for buyers seeking an affordable used car. Its Expression trim keeps the appeal uncomplicated, while the hatchback layout makes passengers and shopping easier to accommodate than in a small city car. mycarcheck.com records 109 look-ups across 58 VINs. Examples average 70,000 miles, £400 private-sale value, 3.9 previous keepers and 3,000 annual miles; these checks aren’t a market-wide guarantee. Check each car’s condition and history. A practical rival to Focus and Astra, it prioritises everyday use over pace or luxury.
