The RENAULT MEGANE (2002-09) 4DR SPORT SALOON 1.6 VVT EXPRESSION AUTO REV 06 is a compact four-door family saloon, offering a conventional boot rather than the more common hatchback layout. In the UK used-car market, it sits among affordable small-to-medium family cars, competing with saloon versions of the Ford Focus and Vauxhall Astra. The automatic gearbox and petrol engine make it a straightforward choice for town journeys, commuting and everyday family duties; it may suit drivers wanting easy driving and a separate luggage area. Mycarcheck.com has recorded just eight checks covering six distinct cars, so the figures are a small snapshot, not a guide to every example. Those checks show an average private-sale value of £600 and average recorded mileage of 60,000 miles. Checks suggest annual mileage of 9,000 and 3.75 previous keepers on average. Against hatchback rivals, its boot and automatic gearbox bring everyday practicality for family buyers today.
