The RENAULT MEGANE (2002-09) 5DR HATCHBACK 1.6 VVT EXPRESSION AUTO REV 06 is a five-door family hatchback from Renault’s popular small-to-mid-sized car class. With an automatic gearbox and petrol engine, it suits drivers wanting straightforward everyday transport rather than an SUV or a specialist car. It competed with familiar choices such as the Ford Focus, Vauxhall Astra and Volkswagen Golf. Five doors make it practical for school runs, shopping and commuting, while the automatic can be appealing in stop-start traffic or for drivers who prefer not to change gears. Its roomy cabin and hatchback boot make it a sensible option for couples and small families, as well as those seeking an affordable first car, provided its size and running costs suit their needs. Mycarcheck.com logged 27 searches across 16 VINs: average valuation £600, mileage 75,000 miles and 3.4 previous keepers. Individual cars may differ, so check each vehicle’s history and condition. The Megane’s appeal is its familiar, versatile hatchback format, offering a practical alternative to similarly sized rivals.
