The KIA SPORTAGE (2018-22) is a family-sized SUV, offering a raised driving position, useful cabin space and an easier-to-manage footprint than a large 4x4. It sits among the UK’s most familiar used family cars, competing with the Nissan Qashqai, Hyundai Tucson and Volkswagen Tiguan for buyers wanting everyday practicality today. Mycarcheck.com has recorded 30,280 checks covering 15,592 distinct VINs, a sample of used-car interest. Across those checks, the average private-sale valuation was £17,600, average recorded mileage 35,000 miles and average annual use 8,000 miles. The average was just under one previous keeper, suggesting many examples have had limited ownership changes. The Sportage suits families, commuters and households needing room for passengers and luggage without moving to a larger vehicle. Its comfortable ride, controls and generous equipment make it appealing, while petrol, diesel and hybrid versions let buyers balance running costs and performance. It remains a strong-value choice in its class.
