The KIA SOUL (2009-12) 5DR SUV 1.6 124 TEMPEST is a compact, five-door crossover with the upright shape of a small SUV and the easy-going footprint of a family hatchback. In the UK used-car market, it offers a practical, distinctive alternative to more conventional small hatchbacks. Mycarcheck.com records 151 look-ups covering 52 different VINs, a useful sample for this model. Those checks show an average private-sale valuation of £2,400, average recorded mileage of 70,000 miles and annual mileage of 6,000; cars had around two previous keepers on average. These figures are guidance, not a price or condition guarantee. The 1.6 124 Tempest suits commuters and small families wanting a roomy cabin and easy entry. Its boxy styling and everyday character stand out against rivals such as the Nissan Qashqai, yet its size remains handy in town. Choose it for personality and practicality, and check service history and condition before buying.
