KIA SORENTO (2003-10)

Buyer's Guide & Data from our Checks

The KIA SORENTO (2003-10) is a large, practical SUV, aimed at drivers wanting more space and a higher-riding alternative to an estate car. In the UK used market it sits among affordable family 4x4s, offering a substantial feel without the premium badge prices of some rivals. Mycarcheck.com has recorded 5,856 look-ups covering 2,960 different VINs, giving this older model a sizeable sample in our checks.

Its roomy cabin and sturdy character make the Sorento well suited to family duties, weekend trips and drivers who need confidence on rough tracks or in poor weather. It is also a useful option for towing, though buyers should check each car’s history and condition carefully.

Compared with softer road-focused SUVs, this generation is known for its rugged, straightforward appeal rather than refinement or low running costs. Checks show average mileage of 114,000 and 4.3 previous keepers; average private-sale valuation is £1,600, so condition matters.

Considering a KIA Sorento? Outstanding finance, theft, write-offs, hidden damage or clocked mileage can turn a bargain into a costly mistake. Enter the reg now and check before you buy.
