The KIA CARENS (2000-06) 5DR MPV 2.0 CRDI LX AUTO4 is a compact five-door MPV, designed to prioritise passenger space and everyday practicality over sporty looks. In the UK used-car market, it sits among affordable family people carriers, offering a taller, roomier alternative to an ordinary hatchback without the bulk of a large van-style MPV. Mycarcheck.com has recorded 44 look-ups across 36 distinct VINs, a useful snapshot rather than a huge sample. Checks show an average private-sale value of £500 and average recorded mileage of 81,000 miles; average annual use is 5,000 miles. The cars checked had about three previous keepers on average, suggesting varied ownership histories. Its diesel engine and automatic gearbox suit families seeking practical space for school runs or shopping at a modest used price. Less fashionable than rival MPVs, the Carens appeals through its roomy layout. Check condition and service history carefully when viewing older examples.
