Launched in 2007 in the UK as a replacement for the Toyota Corolla, the Toyota Auris was designed to compete with the Volkswagon Golf, Vauxhall Astra, Hyundai i30 and Ford Focus. With 2 generations, the 5-door hatchback is a popular choice in the medium size car market. After 12 years, Toyota phased out the 'Auris' brand in 2019, and returned once more to the Toyota brand 'Corolla'.
