Now on it's 7th generation, Ford have been manufacturing the Ford Fiesta since 1976 and during this period have sold over 16 million Ford Fiestas. Originally positioned as a smaller alternative to the Ford Escort, and now the Ford Focus, the Ford Fiesta is one of the best selling Fords. Given it's popularity, it is not surprising that in 2008 the Mark 6 (6th generation) Ford Fiesta was introduced worldwide. It is now manufactured all over the world, and the popular supermini is even making a splash in the United States.
