The Jaguar XE had the unenviable task of following the Jaguar X-Type as the brand's executive sports saloon. With a focus on responsiveness and driver feeback the XE still manages to deliver efforless long-distance performance and a luxury interior. The desiel engines are partitulatly popular with company buyers and they pair nicely with the 8-speed automatic transmission found in the high-end models.

The XE is the based on the Jaguar Land Rover iQ[Al] (also known as D7a) platform, which has also seen use in the Jaguar XF, the Jaguar F-Pace and the Range Rover Velar.
