The DVLA and Police have released a warning regarding the theft of 20,000 blank vehicle registration documents.
These stolen registration documents are believed to be heading towards a massive stolen vehicle fraud operation including cars, motorcycles, vans and heavy goods vehicles. They will steal these vehicles and place the stolen vehicle's details onto the stolen registration documents known as 'reverse cloning'.
The stolen serial numbers are to be found on the top right of the documents and carry prefix BG and fall between the numbers BG 9167501 to BG 9190500. You are advised not to purchase any vehicles with these details on and call your local police force's Stolen Vehicle Squad a.s.a.p.
If in doubt then visit the DVLA website.
